Biosecurity & Animal Agriculture

Biosecurity is an essential step in ensuring animal health and providing a safe food supply to consumers. This lesson defines biosecurity and examines the importance of biosecurity as well as the risks which animal operations face and management practices which are put in place to mitigate these risks.

A new and improved method of making sure the main ideas of a lesson are explained to the student. This replaces the “Student Notes” or “Teacher Notes”.

Checks for Understanding

A short review of the concepts and skills learned in each segment of a lesson.

More In-Depth Final Assessment

A longer, more rigorous assessment of a student’s mastery of the content including a variety of question types.
